Dubai real estate developer Nobles has launched plans to build a logistics and industrial city in Jordan.
Nobles, which also has an office in Jordan, said Amman Logistics and Industrial City (ALIC) would span over 525,000 square metres and be located south of Jordan’s capital.
ALIC will offer spaces specifically designed to serve light and medium industries, logistics companies and distribution companies, Nobles said on its website.
Jordan’s industrial exports are projected to grow by around 7.5 percent in 2026 following new investments and an expected strong demand, Jordan’s chamber of industry said in a report in January.
The chamber said a 7.5 percent growth in exports amounts to an increase of nearly JD600 million ($845 million) this year compared with 2025.
Jordan has announced a number of initiatives to increase trade and investment. In December it revealed the first phase of a 25-year, large-scale project to build a green city. The Amra City project will be located 40 kilometres from Amman and 35 kilometres from Queen Alia airport.
In April, Jordan and Saudi Arabia agreed to build a railway linking the two countries in an effort to boost cross-border trade and investment.
