PETALING JAYA: KPJ Healthcare Bhd reported stronger earnings for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025, with revenue rising by 9% to RM4.26 billion from RM3.90 billion a year earlier.

Profit before tax increased 6% to RM563 million, while profit after tax grew 10% to RM402 million.

KPJ chairman Dr Ismail Bakar said the group’s performance reflected its transition from a network of hospitals into a more integrated healthcare system, combining clinical services, education, research and innovation.

“This approach strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality care, develop future healthcare talent and support innovation, while creating sustainable value for patients, communities and shareholders,” he said in a statement.

President and managing director Chin Keat Chyuan said KPJ would focus on improving its services through its Centres of Excellence, greater system integration and utilising emerging healthcare technologies.

Among the group’s key developments in FY2025 were the launch of a Heart and Lung Centre of Excellence at Johor Specialist Hospital, Malaysia’s first private-sector Pressurised Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (Pipac) procedure, and a Deep Brain Stimulation surgery.

KPJ also expanded specialised training programmes through KPJ Healthcare University’s School of Digital Health and AI Academy, while strengthening research and innovation initiatives through collaborations with academic institutions and industry partners.

The group said it had maintained its collaboration with the Mayo Clinic and developed an AI-powered patient engagement chatbot with IBM Malaysia.

In 2026, KPJ launched a Neuroscience and Stroke Centre of Excellence at Damansara Specialist Hospital 2, completed a kidney transplant procedure at Tawakkal Specialist Hospital, and signed a memorandum of understanding with the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Looking ahead, KPJ said it would continue expanding its Centres of Excellence and accelerate the adoption of AI, genomics and value-based care to support more personalised healthcare delivery.
