CRYPTO digital wallet and payments provider Coins.ph has partnered with London-based financial technology (fintech) company Clear Junction to expand its presence in Europe.
Under the partnership, Coins.ph will leverage Clear Junction’s payment infrastructure to enable cross-border transactions in the European and United Kingdom markets.
The aims to bridge the gap for corporate and financial institution clients who need to send and receive funds in euro (EUR) and British pound (GBP).
It also simplifies operations for the digital wallet as it has a unified system handling fund collection and sending payouts across different countries, among others.
Coins.ph is now offering virtual international bank account numbers (IBANs) for money tracking and payments support.
“Clear Junction gives us the European payment infrastructure we need as our international business continues to grow. Through the partnership, we can support named account structures, local payment rail access and a clearer operating framework for our corporate and financial institution clients,” Coins.ph Chief Executive Officer Wei Zhou said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Coins.ph is the kind of international financial services group Clear Junction is built to support: ambitious, operationally sophisticated and focused on long-term growth,” Clear Junction Chief Commercial Officer Olga Mackintosh said. “As its European corridor activity expands, our role is to provide reliable EUR and GBP payment infrastructure and named account capabilities within a disciplined, compliance-first framework. This partnership reflects growing demand from global fintechs, remittance providers, and financial institutions for scalable accounts and payment infrastructure.”
Aside from the Philippines, Coins.ph is active in Thailand, Australia, Brazil, and Mauritius. — A.M.C. Sy
