New video exposes profanity-laced tirade in hyper-MAGA nonprofit

Bulwark reporter and MAGA monitor Will Sommer reports a “dramatic implosion” appears to be underway inside America’s Future, the nonprofit of Trump-world champion Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty to misleading FBI investigators in 2017.

“In the early hours of June 8, Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Liz Crokin was hanging out in Venice, Florida with the niece and nephew of Trump-world hero Michael Flynn,” reports Sommer. “Venice is a locus of MAGA activity, which means it is often a prime location for intra-movement drama. And, sure enough, with White Claws and other alcoholic seltzers strewn across a living-room table, things got ugly.”

The Flynn siblings, Edward and Kristen Hall, accused Crokin of trying to “get one over on the Flynn family” according to video Sommer obtained of the confrontation showing insults hurled and use of the N-word, despite no Black people being in the room.

Crokin is a former entertainment journalist who promoted Pizzagate and QAnon, and Sommer said she is also “one of the most prominent conspiracy theorists in the country.”

“The frictions appear to have started after the Flynn siblings started to develop suspicions that their family was being somehow undermined by outsiders, among them Crokin,” reports Sommer. “During the altercation last month, Kristen Hall called Crokin a ‘f——' r——’ and repeatedly called her the n-word, while Edward Hall told Crokin to leave immediately.”

“You met your match, b——,” Kristen Hall said, according to the video. “Listen—you met your f—— match, okay? You will not hurt my family. Bye!”

“You think I’m trying to hurt your family?” Crokin demanded.

“Yes, n——, yes!” Kristen Hall replied — which was odd because Crokin is not Black.

Sommer said the speakers involved are difficult to identify from the video because the camera was angled at the ceiling, but four people who have worked with the pair identified voices involved as those of Edward and Kristen Hall.

“At the end of that video, Edward Hall is shown in the room. Crokin herself identified the Flynn siblings as the ones with whom she was arguing and later posted a different video from the same evening showing her arguing with Kristen Hall:

Sommer said Crokin declined to comment further, citing potential legal issues with the Flynn family. He added that last month, “Crokin and other conspiracy theorists quit the board of Flynn’s anti-child-trafficking initiative,” but it was unclear what had prompted Crokin and others to not just bail on Flynn but to also publicly criticize Flynn’s nonprofit and family.

“The most significant clue came from Flynn associate Angela Stanton King, a conservative entrepreneur and activist who cryptically tweeted that the rift had been caused by a ‘drunk night between grown adults.’ The recording I obtained appears to have been that ‘drunk night’ King was referencing.

Flynn took over the conservative nonprofit in 2021, and Sommer said Flynn’s sister, Mary Flynn O’Neill, works as the nonprofit’s executive director, where “she’s paid a hefty salary” of $173,000, according to the most recent publicly available tax filings. Kristen Hall, he said, has had several brushes with the law, including a 2012 arrest for a felony marijuana and charges of fraudulent use of a credit card. She pleaded no contest in exchange for a deferred sentence and community service. But nearly a decade later, in 2021, Sommer said she was arrested in Rhode Island for attempted breaking and entering, resisting arrest, and simple assault.

That case was eventually dropped.

But the family is prone to explosions, said Sommer, with former America’s future employee Lynz Piper-Loomis resigning after what she described as nearly three hours of verbal attacks from Kristen Hall.

“Piper-Loomis told me in a statement that she’s disappointed Michael Flynn didn’t protect her from his family,” said Sommer.
