Happy 101st birthday, Anwar wishes Dr M

PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has joined well-wishers in conveying their birthday greetings to political veteran Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who turned 101 today.
“Happy 101st birthday to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. May you continue to be blessed with good health and abundant mercy,” the Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman said in a brief Facebook post.
Anwar also attached a picture of a lighthearted moment he shared with Mahathir when serving as the latter’s deputy prime minister.
Anwar was Mahathir’s deputy from 1993 to 1998, when the pair fell out and the Reformasi movement was sparked.
Mahathir has been openly critical of Anwar since the latter took office as prime minister in November 2022, as well as PH and Umno, a key component of the unity government.
Members of the public may convey their well wishes to Mahathir at his new blog site, which was launched by his office today.
