Digitap ($TAP) the New Aave? Why $TAP is the Best Crypto To Buy 2026 for DeFi

2026/01/21 00:00

With the passing of the Genius Act and increasing talk surrounding central bank digital currencies, DeFi is entering a new era. Crypto presales that offer reliable, regulated DeFi services could benefit from a growing market as the transition from fiat to digital currencies continues.

Digitap ($TAP) is perfectly poised to capitalize on this trend as a live omni-bank with legal compliance, Visa compatibility, and a functioning app available through iOS and Android. Its market position and delivered utility have analysts recommending it as one of the best cryptos to buy for 2026.

Other altcoins to buy, such as Aave, may have brought DeFi to life. But innovative omni-bank providers are more likely to carry it forward toward mainstream adoption.

Aave Set The DeFi Standard: But Tokenholders Made Modest Returns

Aave helped define modern DeFi by introducing lending markets that allowed users to earn yield and borrow against crypto assets. Its early success showed how on-chain finance could replace parts of traditional banking. The platform has become a core piece of DeFi infrastructure, attracting billions in liquidity. At the time of writing, it has facilitated over $900B in loan volume, with $1B in interest paid.

However, maturity has since changed the growth profile, and AAVE has not performed well on price. In fact, AAVE is down about 30% year-to-date at $162. And in terms of historical profits, it yields investors less than a 200% ROI, despite playing such a huge role in the DeFi industry. The fact is that growth does not always translate into price appreciation.

This reality has pushed investors to explore earlier-stage DeFi platforms that also provide real-world utility for banking and payments. Many investors are looking beyond established protocols and toward altcoins to buy that offer similar financial utility at a lower entry point.

Digitap Builds DeFi Utility Into Everyday Banking

Digitap is a functioning omni-bank that merges DeFi tools with daily financial activity. It combines crypto and fiat in a single account, offering banking services such as deposits, payments, withdrawals, swaps, and transfers. Users can download the app on iOS or Android, get set up in minutes, and send money worldwide via multicurrency IBAN accounts.

Digitap further offers Visa-compatible card payments, meaning that it can be used worldwide at terminals that accept the provider. Payees can benefit from cashback directly into their accounts, facilitated through Digitap’s 50% profit redistribution. This token design enables a 124% staking APY and removes tokens from circulation to support long-term price stability.

124% staking APY is a lot more than is possible with typical decentralized lending. Aside from these yields, however, token holders can take advantage of predictable presale price increases. At each crypto presale round, the $TAP price will rise incrementally. Presently at $0.0439, it intends to list on an exchange at $0.14. From here, it could reach the $2.0 mark,  pending an increase in traffic and global spending.

Because the platform is already live, the development risk is greatly reduced. One of the most concerning issues with crypto presales is whether or not they can deliver on promises. This is not an issue with Digitap because it can be tested by investors prior to token purchase.

Unlike speculative projects, the omni-bank allows users to interact with real services today, which is likely why it has already seen $4M of whale investment in such a short time span.

Tiered KYC For Customizable Market Access

One of the original reasons for the migration to DeFi was frustration with legacy banking services. Accounts could be closed without warning, costs were high, privacy instructions were common, and KYC mandates were challenging to comply with. Digitap resolves these issues with a tiered KYC approach that allows for minimum user friction.

Users can select their compliance tier depending on their needs. This ranges from low-KYC to legal offshore banking services, something which is becoming increasingly needed in a world of asset and account seizures. It’s always good to have assets across multiple jurisdictions for diversification purposes, especially in times of economic volatility.

This also means that Digitap’s total addressable market is very large. It includes billions of globally unbanked as well as millions of remote work professionals and expats who want access to finance without excessive bureaucracy. The app can be downloaded in minutes with smooth onboarding for citizens the world over.

In sum, Digitap is a low-cost crypto-to-fiat omni-bank that is globally accessible, with a ~5-minute account setup time. There is nothing like it in either the CeFi or DeFi industries, and it takes the best elements of both to provide something new to the market.

Why $TAP Is the Best Fintech Altcoin To Buy

DeFi is evolving, and competition is fierce. The Digitap crypto presale offers something unique as the world’s first omni-bank with tiered KYC and a delivered product that people can use today. It combines the functionality of traditional banking with the accessibility, speed, and privacy of crypto.

This is mainly why analysts recommended it as the best crypto to buy compared to DeFi tokens such as AAVE. Whales seeking discounted altcoins to buy have also invested heavily, with $4.3M raised in a relatively short time frame.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…

China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise

The post China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise China’s internet regulator has ordered the country’s biggest technology firms, including Alibaba and ByteDance, to stop purchasing Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D GPUs. According to the Financial Times, the move shuts down the last major channel for mass supplies of American chips to the Chinese market. Why Beijing Halted Nvidia Purchases Chinese companies had planned to buy tens of thousands of RTX Pro 6000D accelerators and had already begun testing them in servers. But regulators intervened, halting the purchases and signaling stricter controls than earlier measures placed on Nvidia’s H20 chip. Image: Nvidia An audit compared Huawei and Cambricon processors, along with chips developed by Alibaba and Baidu, against Nvidia’s export-approved products. Regulators concluded that Chinese chips had reached performance levels comparable to the restricted U.S. models. This assessment pushed authorities to advise firms to rely more heavily on domestic processors, further tightening Nvidia’s already limited position in China. China’s Drive Toward Tech Independence The decision highlights Beijing’s focus on import substitution — developing self-sufficient chip production to reduce reliance on U.S. supplies. “The signal is now clear: all attention is focused on building a domestic ecosystem,” said a representative of a leading Chinese tech company. Nvidia had unveiled the RTX Pro 6000D in July 2025 during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Beijing, in an attempt to keep a foothold in China after Washington restricted exports of its most advanced chips. But momentum is shifting. Industry sources told the Financial Times that Chinese manufacturers plan to triple AI chip production next year to meet growing demand. They believe “domestic supply will now be sufficient without Nvidia.” What It Means for the Future With Huawei, Cambricon, Alibaba, and Baidu stepping up, China is positioning itself for long-term technological independence. Nvidia, meanwhile, faces…
