Dato Ben (Datuk Ben) Fam Chee Way’s Malaysian Youth Sports Chamber Club hosted 450 tables and 4,500 attendees at Kulai’s largest charity banquet, raising RM 500,000 for 31 organisations including 24 Chinese primary schools and elderly homes in Johor.

KULAI, JOHOR — A grand charity banquet organised by the Malaysian Youth Sports Chamber Club, founded by Dato Ben (Datuk Ben) Fam Chee Way, successfully raised RM 500,000 for 31 educational institutions and charitable organisations across Johor.

Dato Ben Fam Chee Way Raises RM 500,000 for 31 Organisations — Kulai’s Largest Charity Banquet in History

Held in September 2025, the event featured 450 tables and approximately 4,500 attendees, making it the largest fundraising banquet ever recorded in Kulai district history.

The scale and impact of the initiative drew coverage from major Chinese-language media outlets including China Press and Sin Chew Daily, underscoring its significance within the Malaysian Chinese community.

31 Beneficiaries Across Education and Welfare

The RM 500,000 raised was distributed to:

  • 24 Chinese primary schools (SJKC) across Johor
  • Elderly homes
  • Charitable and community welfare organisations

The funds support infrastructure improvements, educational resources, and operational expenses for institutions serving vulnerable and underprivileged communities.

This banquet reflects a sustained pattern of structured philanthropy under Dato Ben’s leadership.

In August 2024, the Malaysian Youth Sports Chamber Club organised its annual charity gala dinner at Foon Yew High School Kulai Campus — Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong Hall, where RM 160,000 was distributed to 13 beneficiary organisations.

Recipients included schools in Johor and Malacca, elderly homes, dialysis centres, and disability support organisations.

RM 100,000 Immediate Commitment to SJKC Kulai Besar

In July 2025, Dato Ben and the Chamber Club were invited to the grand opening of a meeting room at SJKC Kulai Besar, a project previously supported with RM 50,000 in 2023.

During the visit, the delegation discovered that the school’s 70 teachers were operating in a cramped and deteriorating office space.

Without hesitation, Dato Ben committed an additional RM 100,000 on the spot to fund renovation and expansion works.

“When you see a problem and you have the ability to help, you don’t wait,” says Dato Ben.

“These teachers dedicate their lives to shaping our children’s futures. The least we can do is provide them with a proper working environment.”

A Lifetime of Structured Giving

Beyond individual events, Dato Ben Fam Chee Way’s philanthropic impact spans decades.

As Co-Founder of Persatuan Amal Kasih Sayang (Ai Xin Charity Association Malaysia), he has organised:

  • Over 200 charitable initiatives
  • More than 50 COVID-19 relief missions
  • Community food aid distribution programmes
  • Disaster response and recovery efforts

To date, his initiatives have positively impacted more than 50,000 lives across Malaysia.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he personally coordinated nationwide relief efforts delivering rice, cooking oil, PPE, and medical equipment to frontline workers and families in need.

U.S. Court Finds Pastor Found Guilty in $3M Crypto Scam

The post U.S. Court Finds Pastor Found Guilty in $3M Crypto Scam appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Crime 18 September 2025 | 04:05 A Colorado judge has brought closure to one of the state’s most unusual cryptocurrency scandals, declaring INDXcoin to be a fraudulent operation and ordering its founders, Denver pastor Eli Regalado and his wife Kaitlyn, to repay $3.34 million. The ruling, issued by District Court Judge Heidi L. Kutcher, came nearly two years after the couple persuaded hundreds of people to invest in their token, promising safety and abundance through a Christian-branded platform called the Kingdom Wealth Exchange. The scheme ran between June 2022 and April 2023 and drew in more than 300 participants, many of them members of local church networks. Marketing materials portrayed INDXcoin as a low-risk gateway to prosperity, yet the project unraveled almost immediately. The exchange itself collapsed within 24 hours of launch, wiping out investors’ money. Despite this failure—and despite an auditor’s damning review that gave the system a “0 out of 10” for security—the Regalados kept presenting it as a solid opportunity. Colorado regulators argued that the couple’s faith-based appeal was central to the fraud. Securities Commissioner Tung Chan said the Regalados “dressed an old scam in new technology” and used their standing within the Christian community to convince people who had little knowledge of crypto. For him, the case illustrates how modern digital assets can be exploited to replicate classic Ponzi-style tactics under a different name. Court filings revealed where much of the money ended up: luxury goods, vacations, jewelry, a Range Rover, high-end clothing, and even dental procedures. In a video that drew worldwide attention earlier this year, Eli Regalado admitted the funds had been spent, explaining that a portion went to taxes while the remainder was used for a home renovation he claimed was divinely inspired. The judgment not only confirms that INDXcoin qualifies as a…
