Pledge Finance (PLG) Information
Pledge Finance is an overcollateralized lending protocol on Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum Orbit Layer 2 used for tokenized real-world assets. Users deposit approved tokenized equities and ETFs into isolated vaults and borrow USDG, a U.S. dollar stablecoin issued by Paxos on that chain, without selling the pledged shares. Each vault tracks one collateral asset and one USDG debt balance. Borrowing is capped by an asset-specific loan-to-value (LTV) ratio; a health factor below 1.0 makes the position eligible for liquidation. Core modules include a vault manager for deposit, borrow, repay, and withdraw; a Stability Pool that covers liquidated debt and receives collateral at a discount; a Surplus Buffer that collects origination and stability fees; oracle pricing; staking; and an application for liquidations and protocol analytics. On Robinhood Chain Testnet (chain ID 46630), these flows run against mock equity tokens and mock USDG so that vault, pool, and staking behavior can be tested before a mainnet deployment.
Pledge Finance (PLG) Tokenomics: Key Metrics Explained and Use Cases
Understanding the tokenomics of Pledge Finance (PLG) is essential for analyzing its long-term value, sustainability, and potential.
Key Metrics and How They Are Calculated:
Total Supply:
The maximum number of PLG tokens that have been or will ever be created.
Circulating Supply:
The number of tokens currently available on the market and in public hands.
Max Supply:
The hard cap on how many PLG tokens can exist in total.
FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation):
Calculated as current price × max supply, giving a projection of total market cap if all tokens are in circulation.
Inflation Rate:
Reflects how fast new tokens are introduced, affecting scarcity and long-term price movement.
Why Do These Metrics Matter for Traders?
High circulating supply = greater liquidity.
Limited max supply + low inflation = potential for long-term price appreciation.
Transparent token distribution = better trust in the project and lower risk of centralized control.
High FDV with low current market cap = possible overvaluation signals.
