WHY THIS MATTERS
The appointment of Simon Tippett as Head of Delivery at One Mortgage System (OMS), announced on May 18, 2026, marks an operational shift for the UK’s leading all-in-one mortgage origination platform. As the mortgage sector faces pressure from high interest rates, changing product parameters, and regulatory compliance updates, intermediaries and lenders require technology deployments that are both agile and uninterrupted.
Tippett’s move is a significant “client-to-provider” transition. Having collaborated closely with OMS for over five years from the client side—while steering major transformations for the likes of Lloyds, Aviva, and Pepper Money—he brings a uniquely objective view of the software’s real-world implementation pain points. His 25 years of change-management experience will be crucial as OMS seeks to scale its multi-asset infrastructure without disrupting daily operations for its expanding broker and lender network.
One Mortgage System (OMS), the CRM and loan origination platform for intermediaries and lenders, has announced the appointment of Simon Tippett as Head of Delivery as the business continues to strengthen its technical and operational capabilities during its next phase of growth.
Simon will lead delivery across the full OMS client base, overseeing the onboarding of new clients, managing the project and development teams, and taking ownership of all project-related work across the business.
He joins OMS with more than 25 years’ experience in change and delivery, including over 15 years within financial services and a strong specialism in mortgage technology. Throughout his career, Simon has worked with a broad range of lenders and financial services firms including Lloyds, Aviva, Admiral Money, Vida Homeloans, Pepper Money, Principality Building Society and Monmouthshire Building Society.
His experience spans major transformation programmes, regulatory change projects, business launches and large-scale operational migrations involving hundreds of thousands of customers. Simon has also worked closely with OMS for more than five years as a client, giving him a detailed understanding of both the platform and the wider business.
OMS is the UK’s only end-to-end platform covering residential, buy-to-let, second charge, equity release, bridging, and commercial mortgages – plus general insurance, and protection – to provide users with best in class for product sourcing, protection sourcing and criteria searching.
Neal Jannels, Managing Director of One Mortgage System, commented:
“Simon brings an exceptional level of experience across delivery, operations and mortgage technology. He understands how to manage complex programmes, build strong teams and help businesses scale effectively while maintaining high service standards.
“As OMS continues to grow, strengthening our delivery function remains a major priority and Simon’s appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting our extensive client range with both innovative technology and high-quality operational expertise.”
Simon Tippett, Head of Delivery at OMS, added:
“I’ve spent much of my career helping businesses manage periods of growth, transformation and operational change, often in environments where delivery expectations are high and timelines are tight. What attracted me to OMS is that the business already has a strong reputation and ambitious plans, but it has also retained a very practical and collaborative approach to working with clients.
“Having worked with the platform from the client side for a number of years, I know how important delivery consistency, communication and flexibility are to lenders and intermediary firms. I’m looking forward to helping strengthen those areas further and supporting the business as it continues to scale.”
FF NEWS TAKE
OMS occupies a unique position as the UK’s only true end-to-end platform encompassing residential, buy-to-let, equity release, bridging, and commercial lending under a single system. Because it acts as the primary tech interface across multiple product niches, its onboarding and development pipelines cannot afford friction. Managing Director Neal Jannels is making a calculated play by placing a highly technical, battle-tested financial services veteran at the helm of the delivery function.
The real challenge for Tippett will be managing the sheer velocity of modern platform integrations. For instance, following OMS’s recent rollout of Twenty7tec’s ADAPT product monitoring tool, the platform is continually ingestive of complex, real-time data layers. Tippett’s role is to ensure that when a legacy lender or specialist building society migrates onto the OMS platform, the transition is flawless. By leveraging an operational leader who understands exactly what large-scale lenders expect during migrations, OMS is signaling that it has evolved past its nimble fintech origins to become a mature enterprise-grade infrastructure player.
