WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2026 was a pivotal stop on the way to Clash in Italy and a huge night for Jade Cargill.
The latest edition of WWE SNME found itself in a odd place on the WWE calendar, sandwiched between Backlash and Clash in Italy, which were just three weeks apart from one another. But that didn’t prevent WWE from stacking the card with a major six-woman tag team match.
At Saturday’s event in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the star-studded trio of Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley came head-to-head with Cargill, Michin and B-Fab, rekindling a marquee WrestleMania rivalry.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2026 Results For Women’s Tag Team Match
Jade Cargill finally got a modicum of revenge at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
In a blockbuster six-woman tag team match, Cargill pinned Ripley after hitting a devastating Jaded finisher to pick up a major victory over Bliss, Flair and Ripley. The finish of the bout came when Cargill interrupted a major moment between Flair and Ripley and secured the win for her team.
Below are the biggest moments and top highlights from Cargill’s huge victory at Saturday Night’s Main Event:
- Ripley and Cargill started off the match as the crowd roared, but Cargill quickly tagged in B-Fab. Ripley blasted B-Fab with a massive clothesline and tagged in Bliss, then B-Fab tagged out. In came Michin, who was taken down with a basement dropkick by Bliss.
- Flair got back in and hit Michin with a series of unique rolling slams as the crowd wooed. Bliss nailed a flying crossbody before being taken out with a kick by Cargill on the outside of the ring. Back in, Cargill and Michin took out their opponents with a pair of cheap shots, and Michin took control of the bout.
- The crowd chanted “Let’s go, Charlotte” as she was beaten down by the heel team. Up top, Michin hit Flair with a picturesque hurricanrana for just a two-count. Flair nailed Mihin with a back body drop and nearly got the tag to Ripley, but B-Fab prevented it with a big clothesline.
- B-Fab and Flair nailed each other with pump kicks simultaneously, and both women were down. Flair finally got the hot tag to Ripley as the crowd went crazy. Ripley nailed Michin with a series of clotheslines and ended her comeback with a running dropkick.
- Ripley went for the Riptide, but Cargill interfered. Michin hit a reverse hurricanrana, and Ripley took a nasty landing on top of her head that looked really dangerous. Ripley got the hot tag to Bliss, who took Michin down with a DDT and got a two-count.
- Bliss went for Sister Abigail on B-Fab, who escaped and then got a nearfall of her own. Bliss countered a suplex attempt into a double DDT on Michin and B-Fab, then got a hot tag of her own to Flair, who came flying off the top with a crossbody block and a German suplex on Michin.
- Flair and Ripley nearly collided near the ring apron, but Flair then got Caught in a Styles Clash by Michin. Ripley broke up the pin attempt with a running knee. Cargill hit a superkick on Ripley, then Flair blasted Cargill with a big boot.
- A battered Flair got yet another tag to Ripley, who stepped face to face with Cargill as the crowd erupted again. They exchanged blows as the fans cheered wildly. Ripley hit Cargill with a huge headbutt and a Riptide, but Michin broke up the pin at the last second.
- After a wild sequence of big moves, Ripley and Flair had a tense moment and went for a handshake that was interrupted. Flair and Ripley then hit stereo fallaway slams, and the Babyface trio celebrated with a hug. Cargill made her way back into the ring, interrupted the celebration and hit Ripley with a huge Jaded. That was enough for the 1-2-3 and the win.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2026 Results: What’s Next For Jade Cargill And Rhea Ripley?
At WWE WrestleMania 42, Ripley defeated Cargill to win the WWE Women’s Championship. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cargill took one step closer to winning back that title.
When Cargill recently returned to SmackDown after a brief TV absence, it instantly became clear that she hadn’t gotten over her WrestleMania loss. In fact, Cargill still had her sights set on Ripley, and though there are other stars involved now, it’s clear where this headed.
WWE is already just one week away from Clash in Italy, and that PLE will set the perfect stage for the rematch between Cargill and Ripley.
After Cargill pinned to get the win for her team at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, she now has plenty of momentum en route to her rematch and attempt to take her title back. Since Ripley won the title at WrestleMania 42, she’s now transitioned to the SmackDown brand and seems to be full-time there.
Cargill didn’t quite work out as WWE Women’s Champion, but with most of SmackDown’s other top women’s stars busy elsewhere, one more match between Cargill and Flair appears to be the most logical route WWE can take. Ripley, of course, is likely to keep her title moving forward, but she has to wrap things up before she can move forward.
Given Cargill’s big win at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, we’re one step closer to Ripley vs. Cargill II and the end of their rivalry.
