PETALING JAYA: A foreign woman was found dead with multiple injuries at a condominium in Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya, yesterday morning.
Petaling Jaya deputy police chief M Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly said police were informed of the incident at about 11am.
He said a police team rushed to the scene and found the victim dead.
“An initial examination found several signs of injury on the victim’s body. The victim was a student at a private higher education institution in Petaling Jaya and was in her 20s.
“A foreign man in his 20s was arrested at the scene to assist in the investigation,” Bernama reported him as saying yesterday.
Hussin said the forensic team also seized several items to assist in the investigation.
“The motive for the incident is still under investigation. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
“The victim’s body has been taken to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death,” he said.
